FROM THE DIRECTOR - Michael Corriston

The Kingdom Come Swappin' Meetin' is the annual festival held at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College in Cumberland, Kentucky. The festival was the idea of Betty Gerlach, former music instructor, and with the support of the Southeast faculty, staff and administration has become one of the region's most popular fall festivals.

The Swappin' Meetin' Festival's mission is to support the culture and crafts of Appalachia. The festival emphasizes crafts demonstration as well as the exhibit and sale of handcrafted items by festival crafts persons.

The Swappin' Meetin' committee works continuously to maintain the quality and style of the festival. This dedication to handcrafted art and craft work is one of the main reasons why Swappin' Meetin' is so unique and popular.
